Ground breaking

Welcome to the inaugural groundbreaking post for the coolest new blog to hit the Internet since this one came along. We hope you will enjoy your stay, come back regularly, and tell all your friend(s). We promise to put a mint on your pillow and always provide you with clean sheets and little tiny soap for the shower.

The goal of this blog is twofold: 1) Inform students and faculty of technology that will enhance their academic experience. 2) Provide a human connection between the University Technology Office and the student body.

Although an employee of the University Technology Office, I am also a full-time student at the Polytechnic Campus. Why does this matter, you ask? I feel like it matters a lot. Because I frequently sit in a classroom and interact with fellow students every day, I feel like this enables me to know what students want and expect related to technology. I’m not just a suit in an office.

If you stick around at techCONNECT, here is the type of content you can expect to see:

  • Contests for students with technology-related prizes
  • Interviews with University Technology Office staff
  • Tips and tricks related to emerging technology
  • Full-service coverage of the ASU/Google Partnership, including plenty of “How-To’s” for their Google Apps services
  • Video interviews with ASU alumni business owners
  • Polls
  • Plenty more…

If any of this type of stuff interests you, please add techCONNECT to your feed reader and come back and see me. More features and goodies will be coming soon as I set up the site.

Trust me. It’s gonna be huge.
