Using Noise To Tune Out The Roommate
If you’ve been reading Geek Stew for a while (or if you follow me on Twitter, or if you know me personally) you know that I have ADHD. I don’t think I’ve dedicated a post specifically to this, but I am pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before. Some of the classic symptoms of ADHD include a difficulty “to get organized, to stick to a job, to keep an appointment.” This inability to concentrate can make it VERY difficult for me to finish my homework or pay attention when a professor is giving a lecture. The popularity of online personalization is beginning to show as the university prepares to release a new version of the myASU page that will merge three popular sites: ASU Interactive, ASU Current Students, and myASU. This will create a one-stop-shop for students to manage their academic life. According to the project website the new site will go live on July 20. Summer Session Is Looming
My summer break officially ends in five days. I’ll be starting up summer classes on June 2. While it’s been nice to have a break, I think my brain is ready for some structure again. I’m usually not very productive when I don’t have a regular schedule. As I start to prepare myself for [insert climactic orchestra] the second half of Organic Chemistry Lecture+Lab, it’s time again to list off the tools I’ll be using to help keep myself organized.
